Talent needs a place to shine.
And people who believe in it. We are Morning Star, an international arts festival created for that moment when hours of rehearsal become applause.

From our first stage to the next big dream.
The festival evolves.
The excitement stays.
Since 2008, Morning Star has brought together children, young people and adults from Bulgaria and abroad. Our stage welcomes solo performers, schools, studios, clubs, community cultural centres and academies: people with different experiences and a shared passion for the arts.
The festival is organised by the Morning Star Art Academy association. To us, every edition is a meeting point: between tradition and new ideas, between a first appearance before an audience and a confident return to the stage.
Today, editions in Bansko, Golden Sands and Pernik, and soon in Sofia, bring different rhythms to the same story. The city and the season change. What remains is the preparation, the encounters and that unmistakable feeling before the first note.

More than
a competition.
- 01
Room for your voice.
Dance, music, theatre and visual art. Different ways to tell your story, with an audience to share it with.
- 02
People who understand.
Alongside you are fellow performers, teachers and ensemble leaders who understand the work behind a performance. These encounters spark ideas and friendships.
- 03
Workshops and master classes.
Beyond the stage, participants can build on their skills in workshops and master classes: new techniques, a fresh perspective and ideas to take back to the rehearsal room.
- 04
Courage for what comes next.
The competition is a chance to show how far you have come. The festival is also a time to discover new directions, find inspiration and keep going.
SEE YOU ON STAGE.
